The PROCESS OF CHANGE

The change (the recovery) we are seeking doesn’t happen overnight, it happens in each small decision we make. The micro-moments, the split-second decision in which we choose differently. Small moments, small wins, seemingly insignificant choices start to add up. This is how we begin to change.

Step by step, minute by minute, the progress gets made. There’s no short cut. It’s the consistency. It’s the fall down 7 times get up 8 mentality that gets you through it.

Soon, the good days string together and they turn into weeks and those weeks into months. The healing doesn’t end, but that particular chapter does. You move on having become a stronger version of yourself…more equipped, more experienced to handle whatever and wherever life brings you next.

Be patient. And remember that each moment is a new moment…and you can start again. You can choose again starting now, not on Monday or next week or next month. Forgive, release, learn and keep moving forward. One step at a time you will get to where you are going.
